We are excited to introduce Custom Product Attributes, a new feature designed to help managers capture and manage tailored product details more effectively.
Previously, predefined attributes and unstructured notes limited how product details could be customized. Custom Product Attributes provide a flexible and structured way to capture additional product details, ensuring managers and reps access to the information they need to streamline their workflows.
How to create custom product attributes?
- Click on the Settings icon. Select Custom Attributes from the menu.
- Go to the Products section. Click on + New Attribute to start creating a custom field.
- Managers can create specific fields to meet their unique needs, such as:
- Short Text
- Long Text
- Numeric
- Yes/No
*At this time, Select and Multi-select fields are not supported as part of Custom Product Attributes.
- Once created, admins can edit, delete, or reorder custom attributes using drag-and-drop functionality. The order set on this list will directly determine how Custom Product Attributes are displayed on the Product Details Page.
- The created Custom Product Attributes will appear on the Product page and attribute values can be filled in. The Edit Custom Attributes link navigates to the Custom Product Attributes page, where you can manage Product Custom Attributes.
Key highlights of this improvement for Reps:
- Easy Access in the Mobile App: Reps will see the custom attributes on each product while creating orders. This makes it easier to access structured product information during day-to-day tasks.
NOTE: This initial release will not include connection to GoodData, API exports/imports, or web export/import capabilities. We are actively working on adding these features in future updates.
