Recommendations are the main action layer in Territory Advisor. They are designed to help you improve territory health, but they still require human review.
Types of recommendations you may see
Rebalance: move places to improve workload, coverage, or travel efficiency
Split: divide one territory into smaller territories
Merge: combine underused or inefficient territories
Hire or add capacity: show when workload may require more rep coverage
How to review a recommendation
Read the summary to understand what problem the recommendation is trying to solve.
Use the map preview to see what changes geographically.
Use the table to review which places, reps, or territories are affected.
Check whether the recommendation improves the real business problem you are trying to solve.
Accept, ignore, or continue reviewing before export.
Questions to ask before accepting
Does this reduce overload or missed coverage?
Does it improve geography without creating confusion?
Is it protecting territories that are already performing well?
Does it reflect how your team actually works in the field?
Would a settings change produce a better result?
What happens after acceptance
Accepted recommendations can be exported for use in your normal Repsly import workflow. Export reflects what you reviewed and accepted.
Export does not mean automatic publishing. Review the exported changes carefully before importing them into your live workflow.
When to ignore a recommendation
The recommendation is based on incomplete or outdated data
The territory has a special business rule not reflected in the model
The operational cost of the change is higher than the expected gain
You want to test a different settings approach first
Best practices
Review recommendations one by one for important territory changes
Use before-and-after previews when presenting changes to leadership
Prioritize the highest-impact recommendations first
Do not export until you are confident the accepted set reflects your actual decision
