In the Repsly mobile app, your team is tracked by their GPS signal so you can always see on the map when you click on it where your team members actually were when they checked in to a place - so the red check-in pin shows the actual location on the map. If they weren't physically on that location you will see that the pin on the map and the location address don't match. We would advise letting your team know that you can know all this information.
If you want to limit the check-in radius for your team, they won't be able to check in to a place unless they are physically located in that place. When the setting is turned on reps are only able to check into Places when they have a GPS signal and are within the radius that you can define by yourself. This works only if your places have accurate geo-coordinates in Repsly.
1. Click on the gear icon and click on Application Settings.
2. From the Application Settings, choose places and find the Limit check-in radius setting that is at the bottom of the Check-in tab.
3. When you check the box next to the setting, choose the value you want to set for your check-in radius and click on Save.
Check-in radius issues
The check-in radius works in a way that compares the location of a rep with the information the Repsly mobile app receives from the GPS of the mobile device - to the geo-coordinates of a place they are trying to check into. A problem can arise if your place in Repsly doesn't have correct geo-coordinates assigned to it and then your reps can't check in even if they are physically there.
That can happen when importing places because there are locations with the same addresses but in different towns, states, and even other countries.
If your rep cannot check in to a place and gets the error message, it can mean two things: either your rep is not actually physically at that location (according to the device's GPS), or this place doesn't have accurate geo-coordinates associated with it. If the issue is the latter, your rep can also easily update the place's geo coordinates and check into the store.
Missing geo-locations can happen due to various reasons - inaccurate addresses or missing fields in the address. It is possible, however, to update the geolocation also from the mobile app. We introduced this feature to make it easier when adding places from the mobile app. We have a guide on how to do it that you can share with your team on this link: How to update your place geo-location

Your representatives will only be able to check into a place to perform activities if they are close enough to the store they are visiting.
