Place Custom Attributes: Visibility and Editing Controls

Place custom attributes now include advanced visibility controls that allow managers to determine what reps can see and edit in the mobile app. These controls help protect sensitive data, prevent accidental modifications, and provide a cleaner mobile experience for your field team.

Visibility controls are settings that determine how reps interact with Place custom attributes on their Repsly mobile app. You can configure each custom attribute with specific permissions:

• Standard Access: Reps can view and edit the attribute (default behavior)
• View Only: Reps can see the attribute value but cannot modify it
• Hidden: The attribute is completely hidden from representatives in the mobile app

How to Configure Visibility Controls

For New Custom Attributes

1. Navigate to Settings, and then select Custom Attributes.

   

2. Make sure you're on the Places tab. Click Add New Group.

   

3. Add places' custom attributes.
4. Select the visibility settings as needed:
   • Check View Only to make the attribute read-only for reps
   • Check Hide from Representatives to completely hide it from mobile

     

5. Click Save

For Existing Custom Attributes

1. Navigate to Settings, and then select Custom Attributes.
2. Make sure you're on the Places tab. Select the place attribute you want to adjust the visibility for.  

   

3. Adjust the visibility settings as needed:
   • Check View Only to make the attribute read-only for reps
   • Check Hide from Representatives to completely hide it from mobile
4. Click Save.
